".....More than bruises & scratches lah... There was also insect bites..and mental torture..and food and water deprivation...and all those muscle pain and aches..oh and not forgetting the risk of falling to our death...:))

Thought about BanditLeader's question about the worst moment in the trip and realized that it wasn't the lack of water on the second day after all. It was the first night when we had to sleep alone. I tried making the shelter and the natural flashlight, and starting the fire. Had to make part of them in the dark with my headlight on, with lots of mosquitos flying around making a feast out of me, and the thought of god knows what could be lurking below that pile of dead leaves around me. Yeah I was afraid of the dark and the thought of being alone in the jungle. But if I could just get the fire started or at least with the smoke going all night I'm sure I could endure throughout. I really couldn't stand the mosquitos, the ants, and that pile of dead leaves around me worried me somewhat too...

Anyway, it was quite an experience. I'm glad that I gave it a try. I believe that we must try everything at least once. It can bring out either the best or worst of ourselves. Dare to be different is not about showing our bravado. It's about discovering ourselves...."

"....Most people don't get in stressfull situations, so they don't know how to handle stress.
I spent a lot of time climbing mountains in the Alps and Andes.  Always it's potentially dangerous
and needs long days (12 to 16 hours typically) to climb a decent mountain.    Can be stressfull
when things go wrong.
The longest I had was about 30 hours.  That was a long day!  Then we had to walk down from the hut, drive home and go straight to work. After mountaineering I don't get as stressed about other situations! "

"....Definitely worth all the lack of water, lack of sleep (1st night), lack of food, lots of climbing
and chopping, leeches, ticks etc. And once again, thanks for your informative lectures and demonstrations, as well  as your patience and understanding throughout the course.
Will definitely recommend it to anyone who wants more out of life than simply working.
